SCVS February Meeting Reminder

SCVS Meeting This Sunday

Date: Sunday February 18th
Time: 4:00pm

Location:
Edge of the Woods
379 Whalley Ave, New Haven

Hello Everyone,

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, at the New Haven Coloseum... oh, wait, scratch that. At Edge of the Woords, it's the next meeting of the Southern Connecticut Vegetarian Society. The meeting will be on Sunday, February 18th, 2007 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

This meeting will once again be at Edge of the Woods, a natural foods grocery at 379 Whalley Ave in New HavenClick here for directions to the meeting . I'm sorry about the bogus link in the previous announcement! If you saw a link to our old North Haven meeting place, that was wrong. New Haven. Definitely New Haven.

As usual we'll be having a potluck meal, and Diane Wagemann, owner of Divine Treasures, an organic belgium chocolate shop in Manchester will be joining us. "Manchester?" I hear you say, "That's hardly in SOUTHERN Connecticut." Well, when it comes to the motherload of vegan chocolates, nothing is too far! Diane's creations are out of this world and she has promised to bring samples. We've asked her to talk about opening her shop, vegan chocolate making, and... lets be honest, we want the samples :-) Here's a photo to get you hungry. Divine Treasures is at 404 Middle Turnpike West, in the Parkade Plaza in Manchester. You can reach them at (860) 643-2552.

Raisins, Almonds & Pumpkin Seeds Chocolate Bark

For the potluck, please bring a dish serving 4-6. All dishes at our potlucks must be vegan (all vegetarian, of course, with no dairy, eggs or honey please) so as to be enjoyed by the largest group of members. Please bring a slip of paper with the ingredients to help anyone with allergies or food sensitivities. Remember to bring a serving spoon as well. You can be creative! Lets show Diane our own chocolate creations. And not just desserts! Mochas, Moles and more! Come and socialize with vegetarians from throughout our area.

Take care,

Joshua
