Members of the different Connecticut-based vegetarian societies have been meeting at a different restaurant each month and I'd like to announce the second night in our "southern" region. This month we're meeting at Duck's Soup, a vegetarian cafe in Hamden, this Saturday, April 22nd. This restaurant will have only been open for a year in May and it's doing quite well. They're staying open late especially for us, so I'd really like to see a good showing.

The restaurant is located at 3584 Whitney Ave, Hamden CT.  Check out the website for Duck's Soup . We're scheduled for 5pm. Normally we don't rush things or ask that people arrive right on time, but since we're getting special hours lets make a special effort this month.

If the weather is good and you're interested in outdoor activity, some members are also planning to meet at Sleeping Giant State Park for a hike before the meeting. Finally, our May SCVS  meeting lands on Mother's Day. Can you please reply with your feedback as to the viability of having a meeting that day? Would you bring Mom out for a special potluck, or would you rather have it rescheduled for another Sunday? Also, Isa Chandra Moskowitz will not be joining us in May, but she has rescheduled her SCVS vegan cupcake cooking workshop for June Stay tuned for details on that!
