SCVS April Meeting Announcement

Next SCVS Meeting

Date: Sunday April 9th
Time: 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Location:
North Haven Congregational Church
28 Church St, North Haven
Hello Everyone,

While March's SCVS meeting didn't set any attendance records, we were happy to share time (and food!) with each other and with our guest speaker, author Rynn Berry. With spring upon us it is my pleasure to announce the next meeting of the Southern Connecticut Vegetarian Society. The April SCVS meeting will be on Sunday, April 9th, 2006 at 5:00pm.

April's meeting will once again be at the North Haven Congregational Church at 28 Church Street, North Haven CTClick here for a map to the meeting.

This month we'll have a special guest from the great white north. Well, not that far north. But at least from Northampton, MA. Vegan photographer and all around digital guru Derek Goodwin will be joining us to give a multi-media presentation about two of his projects; Veganica.com and VeganRadio. Veganica is an online gallery of vegan creative output. Artists of every sort display their works on the site and many items are for sale as well. VeganRadio is a terrific program that is broadcast locally out of Northampton and also available on the web as a podcast. So this will make two vegan podcasters we've had visit SCVS! That's got to be a record somehow. So please come and enjoy Derek's talk. As VeganRadio would say, "You know you're jonesin' for some tofu!"

As usual, this month's meeting will include a potluck meal. Please bring a dish serving 4-6. All dishes at our potlucks must be vegan (all vegetarian, of course, with no dairy, eggs or honey please) so as to be enjoyed by the largest group of members. Please bring a slip of paper with the ingredients to help anyone with allergies or food sensitivities. Remember to bring a serving spoon as well. You can be creative! Enjoy the flavors of the fall and socialize with vegetarians from throughout our area.

Take care,

Joshua
