SCVS October Meeting Followup

Thank you to everyone who made it out Sunday night to our October meeting. The potluck was a delicious success and I think everyone enjoyed our special guest speaker Emrys Tetu. Her talk on sugar was fun, informative and definitely helped me understand the role sugar plays in our lives beyond simply calories.

Emrys wanted everyone to know that anyone who would like to contact her can get a free first consultation. These could be done in person at her practice in Chester or over the phone. So if you're interested please visit her website at http://www.wellnesswithfood.com/ .

This was our first event at the new location in North Haven and the space seems to meet our needs. I know a few folks from Fairfield County might have to drive a bit further up the highway, but I hope everyone gives the drive a try at least once. I'm confident you'll find the new spot is easier to get to than Edge of the Woods.  Please feel free to reply to this message and let us know your thoughts for or against it.

The November meeting will be on the 13th, the second Sunday as usual. We're not yet locked in on a speaker and topic, but it should be an interesting one! We'll be having another potluck with a Compassionate Thanksgiving theme. A detailed announcement message will be sent in a week or so. A short reminder will be sent the week of the meeting.

With our meetings happening on a regular monthly schedule and a location set I feel like SCVS is ready to reach out to more members of the community and extend its membership. For November we should all see if a friend or family member would like to come and join us for the evening, veg or non-veg alike. If you have any suggestions for how to grow SCVS or if you would like to get involved in the process of planning and advertising meetings, just reply to this message or email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .

Take care and be well,

Joshua
